NIL Certification Course

The CleanKonnect NIL Certification was designed for:

• Student-athletes trying to find brands to work with and best practices when producing content
• Students who aspire to work in sports
• Coaches and staff officials trying to understand how to best support their athletes
• Parents of athletes who are trying to better understand commercial NIL and how revenue-sharing works
• Fans of college sports looking to better understand how NIL is impacting roster construction

We make NIL easier to understand so athletes, families, brands and others can make smarter decisions around it.

• Aggregated NIL data points and insights from reputable sources like Opendorse, Front Office Sports, Business of College Sports and the NCAA
• “Gold nuggets” of best practices that CleanKonnect amassed from working with athletes, brands, and agents when facilitating NIL brand deals

The NIL Certification has been tremendously helpful for:

• Student-athletes trying to stand out with brand partners to show they know how to complete commercial NIL deals
• Students who want to work in the competitive sports industry to showcase significant NIL proficiency
• Parents helping their athletes navigate NIL deals
• Coaches and school staff supporting their athletes
• Financial advisors guiding athletes and their families
• Brands looking to partner with college athletes

NIL rules keep changing. Revenue sharing started in July 2025, the College Sports Commission now reviews NIL deals through NIL Go, and Congress has been debating a national NIL law. If you want to make smart decisions around NIL, you need to know what the rules are now, not what they were a year ago.

The NIL Certification Course has 70+ modules which include:

• What Events Led to the July 1, 2021 NIL Changes
• Different Ways to Earn NIL Revenue
• How to Find Brands to Partner With
• Best Practices When Signing NIL Contracts
• The 2025 House Settlement Explained

The initial version of the course in 2022 had 34 modules, but as the landscape has developed with headlines like collectives becoming more prominent and revenue sharing becoming permissible, we have added content accordingly. All content is constantly monitored and updated to ensure it doesn’t become antiquated.

It depends on your reading pace, how many breaks you take and how you do on the quizzes. For most people it will take 4 to 6 hours to proceed through the entire course. Once you complete all modules and pass all quizzes, you’ll be emailed your NIL Certification along with instructions on how to share it on your LinkedIn.

No worries! We offer a Free Preview that gives you a sample of modules from the full course and one quiz, so you can see how the course works before you register.

No, you will not receive the NIL Certification unless you register for the full course, complete all modules and pass all quizzes.

• Free Preview: a sample of modules and one quiz
• Full Course ($79): 70+ modules and six quizzes, lifetime access and an NIL Certification once you complete all modules and pass all quizzes
• Financial Services ($99): 40+ modules and six quizzes, lifetime access and 3 hours of CFP Board CE credit, including modules specifically designed for financial services advisors guiding student-athletes and their families
