Protecting your personal information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to nilcertifications.cleankonnect.com (the "Site") and to CleanKonnect, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("CleanKonnect," "we," "us"). The domain cleankonnect.com redirects to the Site. CleanKonnect is an online NIL education company offering the NIL Certification Full Course, the NIL Certification Course Free Preview, the NIL Certification Financial Services course, and NIL360 Powered by CleanKonnect (distributed through Kendall Hunt Publishing to universities). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. By using the Site, you agree to these practices.

Collection of Your Personal Information

We collect information you give us when you create an account, enroll, purchase, or contact us. Depending on the product, this may include:

First and last name
Email address
Phone number
Your role in the NIL landscape (as selected at checkout)
How you heard about us
School (NIL360 enrollments, optional)
Middle name and CFP Board ID (Financial Services course, optional, used only for continuing education reporting)
Payment details, entered directly with Kajabi Payments (powered by Stripe). CleanKonnect never sees or stores your full card number.
Your choice to receive our email newsletter or text messages

We do not collect personal information unless you provide it, but some fields are required to enroll or purchase.

Use of Your Personal Information

We use your information to:

Create your account and deliver the courses you enrolled in
Issue your certificate once you complete all modules and pass all quizzes
Report continuing education credit to CFP Board for Financial Services learners who provide a CFP Board ID
Send weekly progress reports (name, email, percent complete, quiz results) to your partner school if you enrolled through that school
Send welcome, course access, reminder and certificate emails tied to your enrollment
Send our weekly NIL newsletter and marketing emails, only if you opted in
Send text messages, only if you opted in
Answer support requests sent to support@cleankonnect.com

Text Messaging (SMS) Program

CleanKonnect's NIL Texting Service sends automated informational text messages about NIL and our courses.

How to join: check the SMS box at checkout, or text the keyword CLEANKONNECTNIL to (877) 274-6403.
Frequency: up to 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply.
To cancel: reply STOP at any time.
For help: reply HELP or email support@cleankonnect.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Your mobile opt-in information (phone number and consent) is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing. It is shared only with our texting provider so we can deliver the messages you asked for.

Email and Marketing

Welcome, course access, reminder and certificate emails come from our course platform, Kajabi (for example, from support@kjbm.cleankonnect.com), and are part of the service you enrolled in. Our weekly NIL newsletter and marketing emails are sent through Mailchimp only to people who opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or email support@cleankonnect.com and we will remove you. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop the emails you need to use your course.

Cookies, Analytics and Automatically Collected Information

Kajabi sets cookies to keep you logged in, run checkout and measure site use. Kajabi's built-in analytics and other analytics tools record page views and general usage. Course videos are hosted by Wistia and YouTube, whose embedded players may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. We may also automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, access times and referring website address, and use it to operate the Site, keep it secure and understand how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site (such as login) may not work without them.

Service Providers

These companies process data on our behalf, may use it only to serve us, and must keep it confidential:

Kajabi: course platform, accounts, checkout, transactional email and site analytics
Kajabi Payments (powered by Stripe): payment processing
Mailchimp: newsletter and marketing email
Zapier: moves contact data between Kajabi, Mailchimp and Textedly
Textedly: text messaging
Google Workspace: company email, including the support inbox
Wistia and YouTube: course video hosting
Cloudflare: DNS

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with any third party for that party's marketing.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Beyond the service providers above, we share personal information only in these cases:

Partner schools: if you enrolled through a school partner (including NIL360 access codes), we send that school weekly progress reports with your name, email, percent complete and quiz results.
CFP Board: if you take the Financial Services course and provide a CFP Board ID, we report your completion for continuing education credit.
Legal: we may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law or legal process served on CleanKonnect or the Site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CleanKonnect; or (c) act under urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of CleanKonnect or the public.

Security of Your Personal Information

The Site is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Payment details go directly to Kajabi Payments (powered by Stripe), so full card numbers never reach CleanKonnect's systems. We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through the Site cannot be guaranteed.

Children and Minors

The Site is used by high school athletes, among others. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email support@cleankonnect.com and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

Access or correct your information by logging in to your account or emailing support@cleankonnect.com
Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing email
Stop text messages by replying STOP
Request deletion of your information as described below

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

Delete your personal information from our records; and
Direct our service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;
Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent;
Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;
Comply with an existing legal obligation; or
Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Changes to This Statement

CleanKonnect reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our website, and/or by updating any privacy information. Your continued use of the Site and/or our services after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.
